Every great team starts somewhere. Ours starts with you.

About
A non-profit private rookie FTC team on its creation, with a goal of making a fair and equitable place for passionate and dedicated people.

What is First®?

"FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a global nonprofit that runs youth robotics competitions for students of all ages. Their programs are designed to get young people interested and involved in science, technology, engineering, and math in a hands-on and competitive environment. Endeavour competes in their FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) program, which is designed for students aged 12–18."

Every one has a say
Every decision at Endeavours is made democratically. Our voting system gives every member a voice, with weighted input based on role and expertise, ensuring the people closest to a decision have the most say in it. We are very proud of this system and think this is a crucial part of what makes Endeavours different from other FTC teams.

Transparency and Documentation
We believe sponsors deserve more than a thank-you — they deserve proof. All team finances are managed through Hack Club Bank, an open and trackable account that logs every expense. Each month, we publish a progress report covering robot development, team decisions, and upcoming milestones so our sponsors are always in the loop. (some of the above might not be included depending on tier)

Goals

Our Targets

Our Values

Equity

Growth
Perseverance

Short-term Goals:

  • Hit the $12,000 funding goal
  • Officially register with FIRST and get a team number
  • Secure a workspace in Oakville
  • Recruit and finalize team roster

Long-term Goals:

  • Qualify for provincials
  • Establish Endeavors as a permanent yearly team
  • We'll host public event days where kids and the community can see our robots up close, learn what we do, and discover their own passion for robotics and engineering.
  • Compete in FRC (First Robotics Challenge)

Impact in the community:

Endeavours is not a school-run FTC team; we are entirely community-based and open to anyone with the right skills, willingness to learn, and dedication to be part of something bigger. Even if our main team is full, we plan to have volunteer and mentor roles available so no one gets left out. We exist because not every school has a robotics team, and not every student can afford a private one, and we think that needs to change.

Motto:

Give everyone the opportunity they deserve, and ensure everyone's voice is heard.

Our Teams Timeline

A planned out, phase by phase approach to success.

01
Fundraising and FTC Registration
We are currently in our fundraising stage. Once we hit our budget goal, we will immediately register with FIRST and secure our official team number — marking the moment The Endeavours become an official competitive FTC team.
Recruitment and Training
Once we become an official FTC team, we move straight into recruitment — actively searching for bright, dedicated students ready to be part of something bigger. After we've built our roster, the rest of the pre-season is dedicated to training, making sure every member is sharp, confident, and ready to hit the ground running the moment the 2026-2027 game is announced.
02
03
Start Design
The moment the full game manual drops in September, we hit the ground running. We begin with a full team brainstorm. From there, we move into designing all components in CAD software, while simultaneously mapping out our wiring layout and code structure. Nothing gets built until it's been planned. This phase lasts for about a month (September to end of October)
Build the Robot
With our design finalized, we move into the build phase. Each department takes on its role. Mechanical begins construction, electrical handles wiring and hardware, and software starts implementing the codebase. Every step is documented and reviewed by the team. This Phase lasts for the entire month of November.
04
05
Test, Refine and Optimize
With our robot completed, we begin testing all components, identifying any issues and areas where we can optimize for peak performance. Our software team works to eliminate bugs and fine-tune the code, while the electrical and mechanical departments collaborate closely to resolve hardware issues and push the robot to its full potential. This is the last phase running through all of December and into January until the regionals start.
